Yen-Na Company

“Yuhuuuuu!!!… My article is now ranked number one on Google…!!!!!” I shouted, not realizing that my voice was loud and slightly screaming.

“Waaah… waaah… that’s awesome… congratulations, Halima!!!…” said my coworker who happened to sit next to me.

“Yes… thank you so much…”

I was truly overjoyed.

“Wow… that’s great… what’s the title of your article?” asked Mbak Widya, my coworker who I already considered like my own older sister.

Then I replied, “Ummm… the title is… Tricks to Becoming a Professional SEO Specialist in the World!!!!!

“Woooow… I salute you… you’re so amazing… no wonder your article is ranked number one on Google.”

Mbak Widya admired me.

“Congratulations, Halima… you’re truly smart and brilliant! I’m proud of your achievement! Keep improving!!!!!”

Mbak Widya gave me a thumbs up.

“Wow… thank you!!!… I’m being appreciated by my mentor!!!… Actually, I should be the one thanking you, Mbak Widya!!!” I said.

“Hmm… thanking me? For what?” she asked, confused.

“This is all because you taught me how to write SEO articles from scratch. You played a big role in my success. Thank you so much, Mbak,” I said while kissing her hand respectfully.

“Yaaayyyy… la la la la la la la…” I exclaimed happily.

It Was Only a Dream

“Yuhuuu!!!… Hey David!!!… My article appears on Google!!!… It’s ranked first again!!!… Without ads too!!!!!”

“Yesss!!!!!… Finally!!!!!”

Byuuurrrrrr…

Water splashed onto my face.

I was shocked and suddenly woke up from my sleep.

“Hah… hah… hah… what was that?!!!!” I said, breathing heavily.

“MOOOOMMM!!!!!”

I turned to the side and saw my mother holding a dipper filled with water.

“Mom!!!… Why did you splash water on me?!!!!” I said, slightly annoyed.

“You’ve been sleep-talking non-stop!” Mom replied.

“Eh?”

Halima, who didn’t realize it, was shocked.

“Really, Mom?” I asked in disbelief.

“Yes! Mom isn’t lying! You were talking loudly in your sleep! I heard your voice, opened your bedroom door, pinched your cheeks, but you still wouldn’t wake up. So I took a dipper and splashed water on your face,” she explained.

“Hufth…”

Hearing that, I lowered my head weakly.

“Was it only a dream…?”

She began to cry uncontrollably.

“Why, dear? Why are you crying?” Mom asked, confused.

“Moooommm… it was just a dream!!!!!”

I immediately hugged her. In her embrace, my tears wouldn’t stop flowing.

“What did you dream about?”

“I dreamed that the article I wrote appeared at the top of Google’s first page…” Halima said.

Mom, who already understood the kind of work Halima was pursuing, gently comforted her.

“Hmm… dear… sometimes, what starts as a dream can become reality… It depends on whether we are willing to work harder or not.”

Mom stroked the hair of her only daughter.

The Older Brother Who Loves to Tease

“Alaaaah! Halima just wants attention, Mom! Don’t stroke her like that! She’ll get used to it!” said her older brother who happened to see them.

“What’s your problem?! Stop interfering in my life!” I snapped, annoyed because I was always the subject of my brothers’ jokes.

“Heeey… kicking me out? Such a spoiled girl!” said my first brother in his usual sarcastic tone.

“Oh, you’re still here?!”

I immediately got up and tried to chase my mischievous brother.

But Mom stopped me.

“Enough! Enough! Stop fighting! You’re already adults! Aren’t you ashamed if the neighbors hear your loud voices?” Mom scolded.

Instantly, both of them stopped. My brother walked away with a smug expression on his face.

I replied with a cynical stare.

Holiday

“Dear…”

“Yes, Mom? What is it?”

“Are you not going to work today?”

“No, Mom. I’m off today and tomorrow.”

“Mom wants to go out somewhere since you’re on holiday.”

“Okay, Mom…” I replied, feeling bad about refusing her.

“Invite your brothers too. They’re off this Saturday as well,” Mom said excitedly.

“Okay, Mom…”

Actually, I didn’t mind going on vacation, but I didn’t really want to travel with my teasing brothers. However, it was Mom’s wish, so I had no choice but to follow her request.

“Where are we going, Mom?”

“Let’s go to Guci. We’ll soak in the hot springs,” Mom said.

“Wow, that sounds great. I could use something refreshing.”

“Alright. It’s still 6:30 a.m., so get ready. I’ll go check on Andre and Endruw first,” Mom said.

Ten Minutes Later…

“Mom… Endruw and Andre are ready!” said Endruw, my second brother.

“Yes… Mom is ready too! Go knock on your sister’s door!” Mom ordered.

Tok… tok… tok…

“Halimaaa… are you ready?” Endruw asked.

I pretended not to hear him.

He repeated it.

Still, I ignored him.

Since he knew I was teasing him, he decided to “take revenge.”

He lit a small firecracker and threw it carefully into the corner of my room through the gap above the door.

“BOOM!”

The explosion startled me.

“Endruw!!!!!”

I immediately opened the door and chased him.

Within seconds, I caught him.

“Hey! Why do you always tease me?!” I said while grabbing his hair.

“You started it! I kept calling you and you didn’t answer! So I had to use the firecracker, hahaha!” he said cheerfully without any regret.

Mom quickly separated us.

“Enough! Why are you fighting like this?!” she scolded.

“He started it, Mom! He threw a firecracker into my room!” I complained.

“You never answered when I called you!” Endruw argued back.

“Alright, enough. Let’s go. I’ve prepared everything, including food supplies,” Mom said.

Both of us immediately obeyed.

“Yes, Mom. I’m ready,” Endruw said.

“Halima is ready too, Mom.”
